Tricia Barrentine Guay brings two decades of senior level Capitol Hill experience to Petrizzo Bond. Tricia honed her leadership skills during her management of two Democratic Congressional offices. She is an expert in the development and execution of comprehensive legislative strategies to achieve concrete results. Tricia’s experience working in, and with, government entities has defined her expert strategic counsel to our clients with an emphasis in health care, education and appropriations public policy.
Tricia joined Petrizzo Bond after serving as Deputy Chief of Staff to Congressman Tim Mahoney (D-FL), where she was responsible for managing all Congressional operations as well as the annual appropriations cycle. Prior to joining Congressman Mahoney, she worked for 10 years with former-Congressman Jim Davis (D-FL) as his Legislative Director and then as his Deputy Chief of Staff. With Congressman Davis serving as co-chair of the New Democrat Network (NDN), Tricia worked closely with leading members of the Democratic Party. As the Congressman’s liaison to the House Energy and Commerce Committee, she developed a skillful command of health care and energy issues confronting the Congress.
In addition to her federal experience, Barrentine Guay has several years of experience working for the Florida Legislature as Legislative Assistant to then-State Representative Jim Davis.
A native of the State of Florida, Tricia Barrentine Guay holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of South Florida and a Master of Arts in Legislative Affairs from the George Washington University.
